So after 1.5 years, my first VVME hid bulb went out. I went on their website, got 2 bulbs (1 to keep as a spare) and 1 hid kit for my fogs. It came out like $54 +$75 for the shipping :))) they charge shipping for every bulb or something like this- crazy. If i buy just the bulb from another place, would it be a bit different in color? Or where can i buy these bulbs locally? Maybe some stores? Thanks.

I believe there is another seller on eBAY selling the same EXACT sets, only they are shipped from the US so you won't get killed on the shipping. I remember seeing it in a thread here when I was doing some research before I purchased my VVME's. Let me find it

VVME has an eBay account tht they sell from, you will save maybe $5. The color will be off regardless unless you change both bulbs because the older a bulb gets the color shifts.

You can buy OEM, for $$$$ locally.

A good quality HID OEM lamp, like Philips or Osram, have an expected life time of at least 1500 burning hours. (In general terms, longer than most cars ever last.) The failure of the lamp from the cheap kit with only several hundred hours, or less, is typical.
Good Luck with the kit, hopefully you won't end up spending more in the long term than the OE setup would have cost.
