    Help! somethings leaking!

I just did the K04's 3 weeks ago and have put about 800 miles on it and yesterday something started to leak boost and it was the turbo(s) sounded ten times louder. we pressure tested it and found a broken DV so I threw some bosch ones on that are fine no leak.

then i was test driving it 1st gear fine thru 6000 rpm 2 fine untill about 4200 rpm right after full boost hits it looses all power and bogs down. then my friend driving behind me said i was super rich and after it popped he said there was a gasy cloud or something.

is it something to do with spark plugs being to hot and needing cooler ones or a hole/slit in a hose somewhere? possibly something to do with the turbo itself or what??!?!?

So after the DV replacement, you did another leak test and found no leaks?

When you did the K04s, was the rest of the Stage 3 hardware and the intercoolers installed at the same time?

    Re: Help! somethings leaking!

Thats what i was thinking too.
Everything was done at the same time. and it ran perfect for about two weeks. this past week its been super super hot so i havent really been getting on it at all and it was cooler the other night when i romped on it and felt the massive power loss.
We put a cap with a air compressor adapter on it where the MAF goes and plugged all the other holes and with the bad DV off of it and the ends of the rubber hose clamped off didnt seam to leak. I will be able to pressure test it again on monday.

that leak is probably coming from turbo to intercooler or intercooler to engine? or where would i have the best luck of finding this leak?

Could be a lower IC hose that popped off.

if you lost a hose somewhere, do not drive it. you are pulling UNFILTERED air into your intake. If you get something nasty in there it sould cause problems. If you did not lose a hose and have a small leak, it will be ok to drive it and stay out of boost. does it make any boost at all? any CEL's when you lose power? can you VAG the car? boost leak test first!!

yeah thats the thing no check engine light, and i know that it would light up like an xmas tree cause when we first fired it up there was like 10. but no as of right now with a massive boost leak there are no check engine lights on. i took the bottom ic hoses off and checked em out did not seam to be leaking. what else could it possibly be?

    Re: Help! somethings leaking!

it actually wasnt leaking i guess they are broken in or something lol. the check engine light finally came on it turned out that every cylinder but 1 and 6 was miss-firing so we think the plugs have been getting too hot and they are the ones that came with the awe kit, the gap was at .08 and it should have been .06. so i ordered rs6 plugs from the audi dealership and if its not that then my guess would be bad coils

Exactly^^. you should def. check out f-hose and TBB.
I blew both those hoses just being stage 2+ running 17-18psi

You being stage 3 with more boost, i just don't see those hoses holding up to that kinda boost. I would change them out if there stock, You can go with some cheap but decent $100.00 ASI kit off ebay of just order SAMCO hoses.

on the computer it said .06 i thought. I have bosch DV's that avalon motorsports had the tech said that hes put those on a hand full on stage 3's and they have been working fine. he also said that if i were to put tbolt clamps (which i did) that the stock hoses would be fine. we pressure tested it to 90 psi and nothing was leaking
