    Car bcuking & cutting in & out, part throttle ~3k rpm

    Hey guys. Car has been acting up. Intermittent issue, but gradually increasing how often. If cruising around 3k, and I add some gas but still light on throttle (not WOT) the car cuts out and starts bucking. If I floor it around 2800 or less, it builds boost very gradual and seems to have more lag. If cruising around 3500 and I floor it, it pulls pretty close to normal..

    Its the part throttle cutting in & out that concerns me. Can anyone help shed some light? I was thinking maybe a sensor like MAF or TPS...

    UN FREAKING BELIEVABLE!! ANOTHER TBB RIPPED!! This one only has like 4 weeks on it! And my 3rd one I ripped in a year! I say we start a petition to find the person who designed the TBB and pretend his legs are the bi pipes and rip him apart like a TBB!!

    Now I am in a pinch too cause I am sending back something to ECS and using it as credit towards the Samco TBB, so that won't get here for a few days, maybe a week, cause of shipping both ways.. This sucks..

    ouch man, talk about unlucky with TBBs. maybe its time for a bi pipe to end ur problems.

    No offense man, but WTF are you doing with stage 3 and stock TBB? I'm assuming it's stock and not Samco...

    Lol yup... Its stock.. Last time I got a stock one cause I needed it in a pinch and the local dealer stocks it. So I thought I at least had SOME time.. My game plan was- I have about $60 worth of stuff I am sending back to ECS for credit, and I was going to apply that towards a black Samco TBB now that they are back in stock. So it would only cost me an add'l $27.. But I put that off all last week and now by the time they get it, process it, etc, its gonna be a week at least. So I am just gonna order one with quick shipping & hopefully be boosting again by Tuesday or Wednesday.... With Silicone.

    LOL - Yea, I've been bit doing that kinda stuff before too. Ya think, if I can only push it off another week... BOOM!..... D'OH!..... sigh

    To be honest, I am not crazy about the APR bi pipe. It has no additional flow and the inside is cast very rough and looks like it won't flow very smooth. I do like the way it mounts, but that's it. I would also think the metal design would conduct more heat than the plastic stock ones.. If I was to change the pipes, it would definitely be for GerationJDM's pipes. Ceramic coated to help heat, and bigger diameter with smooth mandrel bends. They would still use a TBB, but with a silicone one and those pipes you will actually see gains. Better flow over stock & APR bi pipe. For roughly the same money as an APR pipe...

    I've had the same Samco TBB from Stage 0 to Stage 3 now, no problems, and its been on for about 50k miles. Why would you keep buying shitty stock TBBs? Learn from your mistakes son!

    Cause it always tears at a bad time & the local dealer stocks the oem one.. So it was always in a pinch & I went with instant gratification.. Buying a silicone one was on my "to do" list for a week or so now. Ordered one from AWE yesterday...
