Is there a difference in ride height from a s line and an non line. I am looking to maybe lower my car, but I live in NYC where the roads are bad and i travel up state where it snow alot. so i dont think i want to lower it as much as an after market springs

I am not sure about the shocks but I am sure someone on here can answer that for you, the s-line ride height looks a lot better.

S line shocks are stiffer than the non Sline ones but you should be ok with the shocks you have.

    Re: S-line springs ?

if you put sline springs on, your stock shocks will be running lower than they are used to. you should be ok for a while, but you do run the risk of blowing your shocks and eventually getting a crappy ride...

no point in buying just sline springs. check the classifides and find someones sline suspention and install the sline shocks and springs. it wont be that expensive.. it usually sells on here for around $300 or so. i got an sline suspension from someone on here for $175. just check around and you can find a good deal

A LOT of people sell them. since almost everone on here drops their cars, they always sell their old sline suspension instead of letting it collect dust in the garage

    Re: S-line springs ?

I have the full s-line package, with titanium, I want to drop my car a bit as well, am definatley going with springs, the streets in frisco suck as much as some of the residents! I figure that using my car to commute, I don't need to do the whole c/o thing, good luck with what you pick, but like I said I have the s and want to go lower....

23 offset? do they even make a wheel like that? I thought that 35 is the most extreme. Anyway do you rub in the front or back?

    Re: S-line springs ?

any body know if the s-line quattro and cvt are the same suspension. I would think the front springs are stiffer on the cvt

    Re: S-line springs ?

I live in PA and the road suck here as well, so I did the same thing. I have a non sline and put sline springs and shocks on, my front wheel gap went down 3/4 of an inch and the back dropped 1 full inch. I like the look, perfect for me expecially with the shitty roads and snow up here. I would suggest getting the springs and shocks...like stated before you should be able to get them somewhat cheap on line here but get the complete package! Have Fun!

    Re: S-line springs ?

The Sline springs are a good option, coupled with the stock non-Sline shock you will notice no difference in ride, and contrary to what some will say it isn't drastic enough to ruin the stockers.

Another option is the Eibach Prokit, its not a drastic drop (~1.5"), but it does require new shocks at the same time.

Not trying to be rude but anything to back this up? A .75" difference is enough to blow out the shock given enough time. Plus, most people sell their sport shocks and springs together so you might as well get both.

Thats what I'm rocking. I had sport suspension and HAD to go lower. Its only a modest drop and I drive around NYC all the time and have never scraped.

    Re: S-line springs ?

Once again, get both if your going to do it.... even if your just upgrading to the sline sport suspension get the springs and shocks... like I mentioned earlier my back dropped about 1 full inch... I would say especially if you have people in the back (often) I would get the shocks also.....
