generally anything with the terms "RS4" or "OEM" will be pricey.

add those two together and you get, well, this..

it is a very quality peice though

It's all about surface area of the tubes/fins... Doesn't have to be huge...

I was thinking about using the SMIC as a heatexchanger for the oil cooler (when the FMIC replaces it).

Terrible thing to do or good?

SMIC as a heat exchanger for fluids? Not a good idea.

Some of the Tip/Auto vehicles have a fluid heat exchanger mounted on the rear of the SMIC, but using the SMIC itself w/ fluid running through it, not a real good idea.
