Several Problems...Need HELP!

ok so 1st problem, i did an oil change a few days ago (3 to be exact) on my 30v 2.8 & ever since my car has been running much hotter than normal.

now i know that oil has nothing to do with the temp, but it seems weird that when i did the change, it starts running hot. especialy since in the 6 years ive owned my audi, the needle has never passed dead center, any ideas?

2nd problem, ive been meaning to replace my motor/snub mounts bc im almost at 130xxx and they have yet to be replaced, for the past two days my car has been making some insane creeking/ rocking noises, maily when rolling to a stop. it sounds like its coming from right underneath the center of the car, ie. under radio& temperature guages

any help guys?

temp problem could be the coolant temp sensor, really low coolant, thermostat. is the temp fluctuating at all or is it staying past midway. how's your oil temp?

the creaking noise is probably control arms. a bad snub mount will make your car shake, not so much creak. if you feel lots of vibration at idle or under sudden WOT then you know your mounts are bad.

well coolant is at correct level...

temp fluctuates a bit, meaning when stopped it will raise to about middle of dead center and next line on right...

but when i start driving it will drop to the middle. when shutting of the car and just turning the battery power on, then it spikes up more passing the line after dead center

aww crap, somebody else had this problem but i totally forgot what they said the solution was. i'm thinking ECT or thermostat

I had both your problems you are having, it was the temp sensor which was covered under the Audi Warranty recall that was mailed out. I took mine to the local dealer and they fixed it for me.

Also, the creaking from the center of the car for me was a bad lower control arm. It was the passenger side, lower rear to be exact.
