ABS and e-brake light blinking problem

this one is a new one for me.... uhhh started my car up and in the first few seconds the abs and e-brake light blink and make the beeping sound... ideas anyone?? happened about 3 times to me so far

how many beeps? if its three then you need a new abs module.

check your brake fluid, more than likely, new abs module

...i dont understand the question...thats like having a car that dings when the seatbelt is off and asking "what are the 5th through 9th dings trying to tell me?"...the same thing the rest of them are.

ya abs module. if you have one, vag-com it and if it doesn't pick up any problems you probably need a new abs pump control unit:

not a guaranteed fix but it's your best bet if vag-com isn't showing anything. the traction light will also come on with this issue if you have one of the later s4's with ESP (but you have an 00 correct? so i suppose not in this case). there also could be an issue in the hub where 2 parts become separated over time. i don't know a lot about that one but i know that can also mess up your abs and make the light's go on, but you have to check all 4 hubs for it though. hope this helps.
