    Speed Sensors Problem

So I've had a bad ABS module forever and finally got a new one from BBA. I put it in, cleared codes and drove around, now I have these two:
00290 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor: Rear Left (G46)
    35-00 - -
00287 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor: Rear Right (G44)
    35-00 - -
I got two new sensors from Shokan but they're the wrong ones. Before I send them back is there a way to test the existing ones? I tried driving around with VAGCOM running viewing the speeds at the wheels and both rear sensors said 0kph the entire time it worked (it stopped working at like 10 kph I guess for safety reasons or something). However the front two worked fine. Is it possible that something is wrong with the module/plug/something? I just have a feeling that it's not the sensors that is causing the problem.

Also, when putting the module on two metal things fell out of the area, they looked like 3 inch long flat metal sticks with three or four prongs coming out of both sides, I put it back onto the module between the probes, vertically, since they fit there but I wasn't entirely sure that's where it went.

    Re: Speed Sensors Problem

That...doesn't really help. I found out that the parts from Shokan were wrong by removing one of the sensors and comparing them. Once I realized it was different I put the old one back. I'd think that by removing/reinstalling it any disconnections or anything would be fixed. Is there some kind of test I can do with a multimeter and magnet or something to tell if it works?

    Re: Speed Sensors Problem

I sent back my ABS wires to Shokan and got ones for the correct year, replaced them, cleared codes, and the same two codes came back. Apparently the speed sensors aren't the problem, which makes me assume the ABS module is. I took it off, fiddled with it, checked the connections, and put it back on and it's still broken. Could the problem be anywhere else or should I call BBA and send it back?

Here's the comb thing I wasn't sure how it went, I tried it both ways:

I'm pretty desperate here, I cant get my car inspected until this is fixed, and my inspection ended at the end of July. I leave for school on Friday. I really hate bringing my car to Audi.

    Re: Speed Sensors Problem

I don't remember the comb thing on mine??

I dunno man. I got a bad reading becasue one of my sensors was too far out of the hub. I pushed it in and it cleared. I am not sure what to tell you.
