Will the headlights from a C5 4.2 sedan fit in my C5 S6? Can anybody help?

Yes. The 2002-2003 S6 and the 2002-2004 4.2L A6 are both V8 cars and therefore have the same headlights. I checked in ETKA and verified that the part numbers are the same.

The only catch is that an older C5 A6 4.2 will not have the Bixenon lights and those might not fit the same.

C5 A6 4.2L > 2001 have regular HID lights.
left = 4B3 941 003S
right = 4B3 941 004S

C5 A6 4.2L 2002> & C5 S6 4.2L 2002-2003 have Bixenon lights.
left = 4B3 941 003K
right = 4B3 941 004K

Daft -- you ARE the man.
Now can somebody sell me some nice C5 (2.7t) headlights (mine is 2000 year -- HIDs with halogen highbeams)? I don't need ballasts or bulbs, but my lenses suck and housings may not be fully sealed. No idea what a prior owner was doing or trying to do , but.... Clears or with amber corners -- either is of interest.
