180 shot on v-8? weak. LS1 camaro's can rock that dry straight into the airbox. go over to the nitrous forums where they run 300-500 shots on big block 454's.
i ran a 40 shot on my corrado g60 and the 40 wet peak whp took the car from 150wft/lb@2700rpm to 306wft/lb@2750rpm. 140K on motor.
As long as you implement it correctly it can be very safe. fuel pressure safety switch. air fuel monitoring (wideband), rpm window switch so you don't bend rods or backfire or mis-shift and over-rev, pressure based bottle heater, proper placement of bottle, pressure gauge !, or better yet pulse-noids with a smart progressive controller.
given that you can do a phenolic spacer on the intake manifold you could easily do direct port injection at 70hp. just remember when they rate it; its 70hp at peak whp. typical on/off kits that means +70hp@3000rpm which is a hella amount of torque (draw the line do the math).
Tends to spike turbo too. I'd definitely lemmiwinks out some timing and run fat on air fuel since these cars tend to run lean at peak torque.
fun stuff. Just remember in many states an open bottle on the street is equivalent to "intent to race" which pretty much carries the same punishment as racing (on the street). go to jail, car impounded...
saw a kid goto jail for purging. didn't stop him.
the isht is addictive.
btw do not ever try to spray into the airbox the VAG maf's are not like the GM ones they will die instantly. That or all those loaner audi's had really weak maf's consistently :)
