Is it possible to rod-out the stock upper cats with the downpipes still in place? I have a 4 post lift and was wondering if I could avoid the trouble of Cat R&R...

Next on the list, an oil change through the tailpipe ship-in-a-bottle style.

Dang... I was looking forward to trying those out. I was guessing I could gain a LOT of extra HP with them but I guess an airplane will have to do.

Well, thanks for the multitude of comedic responses; however, not one person explained WHY this is an impossible task.

Is there any one on this forum that isn't a comedian that can explain why a "drain snake" kind of device with a cutting head couldn't be used to eat up the catalyst core when fed in from the opening of the downpipe.

It def can be done! All you gotta do is take out your primary O2 sensors fill up the dp's with some 100% pure nitric acid. Let sit for a couple hours. come back and u'll have no precats!

Piggie pipes involves gutting the pre-cats. With that said, how will you get past the main cats using your "drain snake". Take a look at the downpipes and you wouldn't even think of ideas like this.
