    GT2871R T3 vs T25

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
looking at some manifolds it seems like there is better cast options with a t3 flange.

Is a t3 inlet too big for a GT2871R? Will it cause boost to come on later?

T3 hands down. Boost will come a few hundred rpms later but the power won't fall off at all. The t3 hot side is much easier to work with as well since you can easily get to all the bolts to the manifold. The t25 is a tight fit.

No doubt. but what AR the .48?

Looking over the web for stuff and found a site sying the t3 .64 will act like a t25 .86

    Re: GT2871R T3 vs T25

get the .63. The combo makes a great street set up. Still has a pretty early spool and great top end.

My rule of thumb is if you are already trying to use the smallest hot side you can, then your compressor is already too large.

    I didn't think GT2871Rs come in a T3 flange

    Garrett's website doesn't show any T3s...

I was looking at the SPA cast one. It sits the turbo high. Still in the way preplanning stages for sure.

if you change to any other manifold you're going to have to redo the exhaust setup. even if get an adapter plate, you probably will

Spa T3 top mount with a 2871 or 3071. That is a great plan.

I don't think one exists. He was going to run a 2871r with t3 housing.

They have one with T25 but it isn't the one that bassed runs.
