Mazola Corn or 100% Vegetable is good stuff.

Some people like Bertolli 100% Virgin Olive Oil, but it's a bit too light for my tastes.

    lol...kidding, I'm kidding.

I've used Valvoline Pure Synthetic, Mobil 1 Pure Synthetic, and the dealership actually uses Castrol GTX Pure Synthetic, not a German brand as I had assumed.

Others swear by the German brands, but if the dealership uses Castrol, well then...

    Cheers!

well. i use mobil 1 cuz Costco has it 30bucks for a 6pack.. lot of people use 0-40 for places like NYC (ice in the winter, fire in the summer). but 5-30 is good too..

yes there are a few german brands but then again.. why go with the hassel??

You really want to use a synthetic oil.

Audi recommends to use at least a 0W30 in your motor. If you are in a jam, 5W30 is acceptable. The point of 0W30 is that it is an energy conserving oil and will help save you on gas. It also has a lower freeze point than 5W30.

Here is the most recent list of oils that Audi approves of on their motors:

    Oils.

I use Mobil1 0W40 since it is the 0 weight for gas saving and low freeze point but, it also can stay viscous at high temps with the turbos and the summer heat. 0W30 will start to get watery once temps are extremely high.

I use the Made in Germany Castrol syntec 0w30 or pentosin synthetic oils only. I love that castrol but can only fid it in a few autozones...
