God dammit - ABS problem after control arms

So I torqued down the axle bolts with the ABS sensor in and now I have two ABS Wheel Speed Sensor codes. I just cleared them and now only the left is coming back (Open or Short to B+). I think one of them may have been a left-over code from when I started the car with the right side unplugged.

Gonna pull out the left sensor now. If I go to the VW dealership and ask for an ABS wheel speed sensor for a 99 Passat GLS is it the same part?

Turns out both the sensors at least are broke. What else should I check?

SO- what did God do to your wheel sensors?

Shokan has sensors for $75 each, not too bad. Think I'm gonna order two of these and have them in on Monday. What other parts should I check for damage?
