    There is no cheap way to get a FULL FUNCTION VAG-COM. You must buy the license from Ross-Tech.

    I can sell you mine if you want. I bought it and I can just do the remote windows open/close mod with the unregistered version.

    you can get the cable from ebay, less than 20 bucks. and then get the unregistered version from the vag-com website. You can get a "free" registered version online if you do some tactical searching. I have been using my vag-com like this for close to 2 years. works fine and only cost me about 20 bucks and maybe an hour searching and downloading
