    Aftermarket Headlight question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have stock halogens with HID kit which I absolutely hate. I was disappointed that audi decided not to put projector lenses on the b7 halogen housings like they did on the b6. I don't have the cash to spend on factory xenon housings but I ran across these on ebay. Has anybody had any experiece with them? Besides the halos they look like quality housings.

    Re: Aftermarket Headlight question

    I feel your pain.

IMO projectors gives our cars "eyes" in that the little round dark projector resembles a pupil in the eye, which gives the car character. That's the main reason I want projectors, I don't care about the lighting but the way it looks during the day.
They say someone on the boards by the name jens "lowest_a4" can hook us up with some projectors. I'm waiting until I sort out my financial situation (va cops are the best) then I'm definitely hitting him up with a PM.

On a side note, guess which a4 owners can get b8 style headlights?

Do it and post pics, just don't hook up the angel eyes. I actualy thought about getting them, pulling them apart, and painting the rings black.

Hey, if you do decide to go ahead and buy the Ebay Depo ones, please give us "halogen guys" your review on them. i know there were several people interested in these because its a cheaper alternative but everyone(including myself) is too scared to buy them.

ps. i say GO FOR IT!

Same here, i was thinking of buying them and opening them up immediately for CC and angel eye removal. Although im not sure how hard it is to remove the angel eyes on these?

This company has some great reviews and some bad reviews. Overall, it may be worth the risk. They provide a 1 year warranty nonetheless

Im hoping to go ahead and try them out in a month or 2. If so, pictures will follow of course. I really find it hard to spend $1000+ for oem xenons and this seems like a very good option.

Jens usually hooks it up for less than 1000 including wiring harness and bulbs if you truly wanna stick to OEM, but if not this is all ive seen as far as aftermarket for our headlights. I wish Audi headlights came standard with bi-xenons/projector headlights like Acura. I hate that its an option.

    Re: Aftermarket Headlight question

here is the thing, no one has come out and offically said " I bought them and here are pics"

For 1k, you get oem lights, hid, harness, etc...if you break down the costs its not so outrages...300 (headlights) (300 BRAND NEW HID) + shipping and harness...its a steal....hit up lowsta4 tell him I sent ya and I am sure he will take care of you, like he has many of my friends...

Depo, makes good-decent quality on headlights, but if you are looking to go with an HID set-up, you will be one of the first to do it so its going into uncharted waters. 300 bucks isn't that bad for headlights, but just don't expect something perfect like oem as many people are mistaken.

Be one of the first to get it and share some info with your fellow AZers, else go OEM...I know my vote doesn't make a difference, but I vouch for oem headlights worth every penny!!!!

Overall do it, and spread the word on the lights!

If you remove\paint the angel eyes the lights aren't legal....It look like they work as the City lights.....
