Mirror compass calibration

So I just swapped in a 02 A4 mirror to my car. But I can't get the compass into the calibration mode. I can set the zone but can't get the C to show up. When the mirror powers up it just turns on all of the little pixel thingys. Any one that has one of these know how to reset it? Thanks

I think you hold down the power button for 5 seconds then push it to set the zone you are in (map in the manual)
