    Time to downsize...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Now that I have the car looking and running perfect, I must let it go (isn't that always how it goes??) to save for a move out of state. I may be switching to a B5 A4 Avant for a lower or no payment...

Sorry you have to sell it. Replacing it with a B5 Avant is a good idea though. Good luck.

Thx guys - if ya see any parts in the list that you want let me know.

EDIT: I'm going to wait a couple weeks to see if anyone wants it as-is. Then the parting will begin. I'll be taking dibs 'til then...

At least you're replacing it with another avant. Man, that engine is built with some pretty nice stuff too... why didn't you ever do a BAT?

    Re: Time to downsize...

    Thanks for the nice words!
If I don't find a good Audi substitute, I may live vicariously through my wife's B7 CVT sedan and drive a scooter around for a few months and REALLY save some money. There are a couple of nice Audis nearby for sale, though. All TIP, but that'll keep me from being impulsive with mods.

Because I had to replace the tranny and clutch to the tune of $4,700.00 I had a full stage II+ kit with every supporting mod ready to install in my garage; I had to sell the Stage II kit and my classic honda motorcycle, plus any spare parts I had, just to cover part of it. No money for mods after that.

But, this car is ready out-the-box for anyone who's up for a performance project! Built bottom end, SouthBend OFE HD Clutch good to 300 lb/ft torque

    Re: Time to downsize...

wow after all the BS you had to go through to get it on the road, it's really a shame you need to let it go...

hopefully you'll be able to find a decent B5 and this time you won't have to deal w/ all the BS you had to deal w/ on that one...

ps: sell it back to its original owner w/ a premium for all the stuff you had to fix...

Well, the BS that it took to get it on the road is part of the (financial) problem...

I have already found a couple very promising replacement prospects and I don't know which to choose.

Interestingly, the original owner did ask me a while ago if he could buy it back b/c he hated his new car. I'm pretty sure he would go for it even now, but I think he has already committed to another one just like it, same miles.... but stock. If he hasn't though, I'd work it out w/ him any time.
