I am pretty sure that turbo is the equivalent to an ebay special. I did a quick google search and that seems to be the general consensus. Also, tuning for that kit would probably be hard to come by. I would pass for sure

Yeah to cheap.. All I can say is you pay for what you get, and I DON'T see any pictures of their "kit".. Curious to see what a $380 shipped turbo "kit" looks like. And isn't the TD04 turbo stock in a WRX?? Give you an idea of power. Tuning would be annoying, but shouldn't be to hard to come by. But your going to end up spending a lot more on that kit. Where does the turbo sit? You need a TIP, does their accessory kit come with oil and coolant lines and all the necessary fittings? You'll need a MBC to run more than the waste gate setting of 8psi or whatever it was. And the fact that they give you a BOV, lol.

dirt cheap says it all. There are very few acutal collisions of value and quality/performance in the automotive world, you usualy only get your pick of two out of three attributes: performance, value and reliability.

but in these kinds of cases it's one, value. If it means anything, the TD04 'turbo' they claim to sell is the same family (but not necessarly the same turbo) out of a wrx.

sounds more like a scam to me. just like those +5-50HP ebay "chips" and "electric superchargers" actual products, just not acutal results.

I really want someone to buy a kit like this just to see what it turns out to be.

Buy it and you will end up with $380 of scrap metal. Plain and simple, nothing but junk from that company.

Why dont you do it then?

These turbo kits have been installed and tested on NUMOUROUS forums around the world. The results are out there...the kits are junk.
The turbocharger WILL die and if it does not, expect a piece of the manifold to break off and then get consumed by the turbocharger.

No, but the problem is that too many of the new A4 owners are looking for the cheap parts instead of the proven to work parts.
