I lied about BT because if it wasn't in there no one would look.

Anyways, I have searched and there is really no definitive answer on whether a 557P could be recoded into a 558M.

Iz diz posibel?

Is not one ECU for a DBW and the other for a NDBW? As far as I know, the only thing that could be recoded is the transmission and not the ECU itself. But I am no expert, so not too sure. And the M box is interchangable with the CH box. But no P in place of M. Once again, no expert.

They are both for AEB.

Whoops. 018M. Pardon! I just learned something new. Had no idea there was another M box. Only other one I knew of was on the S4.

^x2 on everyone who says 558M and 557P is AEB (non drive by wire).

I've used both on my 99.5 (which came with 557P).
