APR exhaust, wtf?

Well I put the APR exhaust on yesterday, but was upset to see that it sags like a pair of old breasts, and strays off to the left. Everythings in the way it should be.

Today, I took it to a mechanic shop today to see if he could bend the hangar, but he said that there's no room to move it over, as it hits the little well that the OEM exhaust sat in. I guess my only choice is to go to an exhaust shop and have them play around with it? Has anyone else had this issue?

Sure the rear muffler isn't in upside-down? That's what it looks like but the tips would also be upside-down... Unless!!

Looks like he is in fact missing a hanger, is it really loose too? take a better picture of how it's mounted.

I can't imagine it's upside down, the APR logos are facing up. I will take a few more pics when I go out to lunch in a few minutes...

It looks like you are missing a hanger on one side. Did you get this used? In your last picture it looks like someone cut the hanger off of the top part of the muffler as there is a part of a bar that just stops.

Even though mine is a quattro, here are a few pictures for comparison and I hope this helps.

You'll have to excuse the dirtiness as the car has been sitting for awhile .........

I think his hanger is actually sticking out to the left side, so we actually see the end of the hanger in the picture he posted. Just my guess though.

Yes, I bought it used. But it doesn't look like there should be a hangar to the right of my muffler like your car has, it doesn't look like there's anything to hang from. Here's some more pics, sorry for the quality, the iphone is all I have at work...

^^^^ Ours was the same, gets bent during shipment, exhaust shop can take care of it no problem.

I will try to adjust the hangars when I get home, but if that doesn't work, to the exhaust shop it goes.

Ugh... I just loosened all the hangars, jacked the muffler up into the right position, tightened the hangars all up, and it just sagged back down. If only the rubber bushings were shorter... Any ideas, or is it time to have an exhaust shop take care of it?

I don't think your problem lies in the rear, but further up in the exhaust stream... That rear hanger is stretching... If there is stress there, there is a problem elsewhere....

Does it look like it's stretching? Like I said, I loosened all the hangars. All the way up past the resonator, I don't think there are any others that I may have missed? What could be the issue? Is the VMR test pipe too long or oddly shaped or something?
