    It has to be the same # most of the time and the keys have to be programmed to the ECU.

    the immobilizer codes have to be reprogrammed at a dealer. most dealer's don't want to mess with this and will tell you they don't do it, so call around first. honestly it's a PITA on our B6s.

    most tuners can defeat or clone immo3. just ask.

    and yes the tuners would rather sell you a tune.
