overheating issue

Ok well this relates to another thread I started but I figure start another otherwise I get confused so I threw obd code PO117 but my check engine light didn't come on I just checked it just in case and who knew there was a code.
PO117 = Engine Coolant Temp Sensor Circuit Low Input
what does that mean and how do i fix it?

Change your ECTS it's bad.

on the rear of the head there is a plastic coolant flange. the sensor is located right there, is either green of blue. easy access.

ok thanks guys, I see I need the blue one but the I dots at autozone aren't much help so I just got it through ECS now I have to wait.
Oh and you think I might as well get A new MAF and N75 valve I'm getting really low boost 5psi and I'm pretty sure I'm not in limp mode because I only have that one code.
But then again NO body ever really lists all the symptoms of going into limp mode
not to mention that people tell me my car doesnt have a limp mode ( Audi A4 B5 1999.5 1.8T Quattro Tip.) just in case I pulled the plug on the battery for like an hour but I havent tested how it runs ( heating problem) So until further notice I guess I'm not going any where, I think I'm going to get a B7 next year and keep my B5 for goofing around and shit.
