Thinking about getting an A4 in addition to the S4. What would you guys like to say are the manageable differences between the two. I'm interested in MPG, Comfort, and most importantly, what kind of mods would I have to do to get close to my S4? I'm thinking about all the standard stuff, chip, intake, exhaust... but where does that get me?

A4 will feel a little lighter and seemingly more tossable with less plowing. With just a chip there is alot of usable torque down low for everyday driving. Expect to get approx 100 more miles per tank than the S4, if not alot more in an all-highway trek. The 2.0T will never match the sound of the 4.2 though.

    Re: B7 A4 feeler

I was in an A3 loaner not too long ago and it sounded kinda tacky... I wasn't sure if it was just the A3 or the 2.0T altogether. My old B5 A4 sounded a lot better than the newest one's(if in fact they are the same, A3 vs. A4) None the less, I'm trying to weigh the options and see if it's really worth it or not. It's only really going to be $150-200 less a month(insurance, gas, and car payment) if I choose to get rid of the S, so who knows...

I take it you have to do a fair amount of work though to beat an S or to really keep up with one yea!?
