    So i took my mbc/tcd off of my car today and replaced a blown dv. Now my car spikes 25+ psi in every gear... OTS AWE stage 3 software, rest of mods in my sig. Does this sound like a boost leak?

    pressure test it, I have heard of 25+ boost spikes with AWE's kit.

    I wouldn't assume anything is leaking. My old OTS AWE kit spiked at 25 and settled at 21psi. There new software doesn't spike as high. I just got the new software w/ ebc and it only spikes at 22psi and sits at 20. It's supposed to be more powerful though because of the whole overall tune.

    hmmm... this is the newest software to my knowledge, i just don't have the mbc option.

    What could those codes be attributed to? bad fuel filter? pump? maf?

    Any idea on when their tune changed? What kind of EBC?

    They added the ebc feature around this time last year. It's not an ebc per se. it is basically a program that you put on your computer and adjust boost via vag com. The "new" awe software is going on 2 years old now.

    Oh, yeah, what did you set you EBC # ?(250 should avoid most throttle cut issues)

    What is your vacuum at idle? That's a good indicator if you have a boost/vacuum leak. Also it could be your N75. I know that's what caused my overboosting.

    I don't have the ebc program. I was using an mbc/tcd for awhile

    I think my vacuum is about -19. Any way to check the n75?

    Yes per the factory manual there is, but I'm at work so I can't check what that is. More importantly mine was in factory specs for ohms and was still bad. I will have to check what that is when I get home.

    The "new" AWE program came out this time last year along with the EBC. Although the EBC was an option they had new software as well. I remember cause the guy at the AWE booth at Waterfest 13 was telling me about it for like a half hour. They never posted anything crazy new about it because it was only just a new update and only for Stage 3 cars. So if your software is 2 years old, I'm assuming you have the previous generation.

    Anyway, pressure test it is basically the best choice of action if you are worried about the spike. But I feel like it's fine and the codes are related to something completely different. I could be wrong. Just what I feel.

    Last year when I inquired about getting the boost controller software and getting the newest code, they checked my info and told me that I had the latest software version.

    Regardless, thanks man. The car seems strong right now, but i might pressure test for peace of mind. Any idea what those codes could be? I searched here and aw but didn't find a whole lot of info on the cause.

    I'm not quite sure about the codes. I would try clearing them and see if they come back. If they come back almost immediately then I would try and dig deeper. Sometimes the car does something once so it throws out a code, but it just needs to be cleared.
