    Havent boosted in months!! what to look for?

    my clutch went out nearly 8 months ago, and college status has left me broke until recently. I've been driving the car regularely for 8 months, just no boosting because then the clutch slips. my new clutch is goin in on monday, and before i romp on it are there any things i should check over, since i havent made serious boost in so long? i dont want anything to blow up as soon as my car is boostable!

    just keep vag in the car, and check all your hoses etc, drive slow for 500 or so miles and then hit it and record it

    I stay in vacuum a lot of the time I drive. It takes stress off the turbos (obviously), but I haven't noticed any problems at all.

    Drive it like you stole it!!! After the clutch break in of course...but really, if your car drove fine all along, then it'll drive fine after. If you had a problem, you'll have it regradless if your in boost or vacuum. So you would have noticed it before.

    I too am in vacuum damn near 75% of the time.

    i was driving it like that as well. look to make sure you flywheel is not blue now. mine was and needed to be replaced

    Get your flywheel resurfaced while you're in there and you should be good!
