    Trouble with Detail Spray

I got the detailing bug recently and picked up some basic Adams products. I'm not real happy with the Detail Spray though, it leaves smears that don't rub off easily / at all (black paint). I think it's water based, and a sample bottle I have of some other "Insta-wax" (or whatever) works a treat.

I hope I'm doing something wrong like too much; too little; too fast; too slow etc, any opinions or experience with this product here? I have a gallon of the stuff!

I am not sure about Adams products but on some if the wax is thin removal of the spray can be difficult.

how are you using the spray? Are you spraying then wiping with a mf or are you letting it dry then attempting to buff?

I use the Adams all the time on my blue car and have not experienced this problem.

Spraying and wiping straight off with mf cloth, sound ok? Easiest to see with low sunlight.
Dark blue car? Check it out when the light is at a very oblique angle.

    Follow up:

So I don't scare people off Adam's... whatever I was doing wrong has gone, probably not wiping off thoroughly enough because I'm not used to water based products. Maybe smears dried where I missed it and left the haze.

    Life is good
