USP Center Grill Area

Is this what it looks like under the center grill? I am specifically interested in the vertical pieces that look like they've been cut. I wonder what they look like for true USP cars, not the DIY USP. I have reason to believe after seeing this, that the shop I brought my car to just added the USP lower and not the full USP front bumper.

Were you expecting a full USP upper and lower? Because that looks like the DIY lower peice only!

Can someone with a stock USP post some pics? The rough edges on the vertical bars look like a DIY job.

I cannnot see the photos but on the OEM USP Upper Bumper, the verical slats that the grills attach to are two seperate pieces and are held together by rivets. The upper piece looks as if it were cut with a hot knife by the factory and the lower piece fits behind it typically.

If you are to look the the inside skeleton for the USP, it has the apprearance that Audi actually did thier own DIY bumper modification.

This is why I sell one upper bumper per month and about three DIY USP kits every week, there is no need to replace the upper bumper unless it is/was damaged.

All you have to do is look at the upper bumper to see if it is dirty or clean behind it to tell if it was replaced.

The new part will be clean, an older part will have grime inside it.

i just got my USP over the wknd and the lower center grill was cracked.. i pulled it off, and noticed the same exact thing.. seeing the responses here and adding mine to the list, it appears as though this is how a factory USP looks..
