This is my goal with my car.

I was thinking last night and im not going to go BT Kit any time soon. My new goal is to have this done by September of next year. I want to get a high hp torque converter, 3000rpm stall speed converter (Launch Control), Statis 4:1 Differential, some weight reduction and S3 Injectors. I think with those mods on a cold day with race gas and can get this sucker in the 12's with a stock turbo. Call me crazy but i will do it.

Good luck to you Pete. Sounds like a cool idea, however i think 12's are a little too ambitious but i will eat my words when i see it. Also why did you order the labree downpipe? didnt your exhaust come with a new one? the stasis differential is super expensive, let me know if its worth it.

I ordered the Labree b/c i have a stock downpipe. None of the exhausts for the tip come with downpipes.

will the labree work with the tip? thats going to be a pain to switch - the metal by now i am sure has a nice tight seal as it heats up pretty good. Let me know when you get everything. Still interested in the stasis rear diff.

Get the DIY shim pack the b5/b6 guys are using and make it 4:1 yourself, much cheaper. Weight is the key here, check out jet jockeys b6 if you need some ideas on where to shed the pounds.

Are you sure you can get in the 12 second range? I'm not saying you can't, but that seems bold on the stock turbo. Let us know how it turns out.

Yea im very confident in myself. Right now im in the mid 13's so i think with a better differential, lighter and some transmission mods high 12's is very attainable.

I'm confused, does the 4:1 change the torque split of the front and rear wheels? If so, how could that possibly make you go faster?

More power to the rear wheels makes your car faster. Think about it, why are the FWD's faster than Quattro's? They say the no. 2 mod that makes the Stasis packaged A4 faster, next to the chip, is the rear biased Stasis differential on it. They said it shaves .5 sec. 0 to 60.

FWD cars are faster due to the fact they are always lighter than their RWD/AWD counterparts, and lose less power to drivetrain friction.

The differential still makes no sense to me. Maybe it keeps traction better under hard launches, or reduces drivetrain loss. I'm puzzled.

Yea I thought it was only for better power delivery out of corners. davis449 where did you hear this? If it takes .5 off of 0-60 I would order one ASAP lol

It was in a Road and Track article last year on the Stasis Challenge Edition A4. Unfortunately the online version of the Article didn't contain the entire article they printed in the magazine. I will have to go home and see if I can find that edition. They explained that the No. 2 factor in making the car faster, aside from the chip tune, was the differential. The rear wheel torque bias is increased. That's why all the new Audi's are coming 40/60 front to rear power distribution, they behave more like a RWD and are faster off the jump. A good demonstration of this is the Top Gear comparo of the RS4, M3, & C 63 AMG. Watch the drag race portion. All of them "knew" the Audi would be slower off the line...they were all wrong. No it did get it's ass kicked by the end of the 1/4 mile but...whatever.

I think that the high rpm stall is a great idea and will prob get you the most run for your money. You should look into getting a water/meth system so you can run on 100 octane tune with 93 gas. Also i would pm HID about his NOs system. All that could be putting you into the 12s if you time everything right and get a professional tune.
