    Trip Computer questions.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Okay, first question:

How do I change from trip 1 to trip 2? Why does Audi make it so hard, with other cars you just push on the stick to cycle through the different trips.

    Question 2:

I noticed that the average fuel consumption, speed and time driving has reset overnight this morning? I didn't touch the reset button, any reason this may have happened?

    Thank you all in advance.

    Re: Trip Computer questions.

There isn't one. Single trip is all ya get. And they do reset everytime you get in and out of your car. But on the windshield wiper lever, there is a button on the underside. This toggles between the temporary and ongoing. If you click it once, there will be a little two in the upper corner of your display, that is the longterm reading.

I thought I remember you can get 2, just can't find it in the manual. I've seen the 2 indication before, while playing around with it. It will be a 2 when cycling through the different data, e.g. Average Fuel Consumption, etc.

Think you missed my edit there. There are two, but that does not include the trip meter.

That's kinda of weak only one trip? Even my Kia has two...anyway, no, even the long term was reset this morning. Weird, huh? Clock and date was right, so it is not like I lost battery power. The other thing, how do I switch the 1 and 2? Cycling through the switch on the wiper lever, only gets me the 1.

You are hitting the rocker switch on the SIDE of the lever. There is a button on the UNDERSIDE that cycles 1/2/off.

It resets if you hold it in. If you just click it, it cycles.

Ah makes sense, so if you tap it, it will change...that maybe why I thought it reset, since it went to #1...so if I tap it again, it will go to #2?

Yes, the cycle is 1/2/off. So it's usually on 1, tap takes you to 2, tap turns it off, tap takes you back to 1. Hold resets whatever field you are currently viewing.

I swear, if I didn't read my owner’s manual I would have 70 rings in this repetitive bullshit of a forum...
