Stock Avus wheels with spacers......

Hey guys, Whats the largest spacers I could get away with on the stock avus wheels, I searched and couldn't find the offset so thought I'd ask the crowd. I'm wanting to put 10-12MM spacers on the front and rear wheels, would that give me a rubbing issue? Keep in mind that I will most likely be dropping the car about 1" all around on some Vogtlands in the near future as well. Any info would be great, thanks!

I had 10mm spacers for my S4 no rubbing with a ride height around about 25". I even want to go 12mm-15mm for the rear.

I had 10mm on the front and 15mm in the rear on a B6 with H&R coilovers and had no rubbing at all.

Correct...on my stock 18" avus wheels.

Yes, stock with h&r coilovers.

excuse my stupid question but i think i read somewhere staggered setup is not good for the 4wd or something along that line. is different sizes considered similar to a staggered setup?

Staggered setup is referring to different size tires front and rear. Spacers don't affect tire size. You want to maintain the same size contact patch front and rear and same diameter front and rear.

no, anything bigger then a 3 mm spacer requires a different lug nut. Im not sure what the length of the stock lug nuts is, but if stock is 30 mm, then you should get 37-40 mm lugs for 10 mm spacers, and 42-45 mm lugs for 15 mm spacers. The theoretical 40 and 45 sizes (ones for a perfect fit) are optimal.

No problem...and ginkof is correct...you should be looking for bolts that are proportionally longer to the size of the spacer you use.

Different wheels on a B6 A4 but the same size and ET as yours ... I had 8 mm in front and 15's in the rear and sat at 25" fender to ground. No rubbing with 235/40/18 Toyo T1R's. When I went to same size GY F1's I had minor rubbing as they are known to run a bit wider ...
