I just got these wheels - OEM B7 S4 with Mich Pilot Sports. The owner had them labled based on how they came off his car. Are they mislabled? This wheel says it goes on the left front (there are no frickn arrows on the tires).

    Please advise.

    Re: tread pattern help

im 99% sure thats because they aren't directional. they could go on any of the 4 corners. he labeled them because sometimes tires wear differently depending on where they are on the car. just throw them on how they are labeled or rotate them. no biggie.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you, Body kits and decals are how much of a mess you leave on the wall.

lol sleep deprivation owned me last night. For some reason I assumed they were directional since they are summer tires and my B6 S4 tires were that way. Thanks for the help fellas.

    Re: tread pattern help

Not tryin to thread jack... well yeah, I guess I am. How are you supposed to rotate directional tires? Just go front to back or are should you take the tires off the wheel? I say this because my driving route seems to consist of more opportunities to take faster right hand turns than left hand turns. I'm sure after a few more thousand miles I'll start to see some uneven treadwear... Maybe I'll just change up my route. Or I can drive in reverse!

    Re: tread pattern help

Directional tires rotate front to back. The shoulder blocks on those PS2's are designed to be on the outside of the tire (the face of the wheel). Think of tire locations as you are sitting in the driver's seat. Left is driver's side, and right is passenger's side. Tires get use to rotating a certain way so keep them on the same sides.
