    Clutch Pedal Vibration

Drove about 2 hours to Delaware today from NY and when i as gettin off the exit, i clutched in, and the pedal was vibrating. Like a steady pulse, and felt like the engine was misfiring. I stopped and at idle it was still the same. I had a meeting in 15 minutes so i didnt want to turn the car off and risk it not turning back on and since i was 5 mins away,i decided to continue driving.

1st gear take off was really ruff and underpowered. As i got to the parking lot. i turned the car off and started it back up and the pulsating stopped.

Any clues on what could be causing this? i was thinking maybe the hydraulic system?

    Re: Clutch Pedal Vibration

Could be many things, but as a practical matter you can limit the scope to either a bad ignition coil pack or wear or damage to the clutch pressure plate assembly. It's almost certain that the symptom you described is a bad coil pack, the clue is that the symptoms disappeared on restart. That is consistent with a intermittent failed coil pack. Was there a Check Engine Light ON and or Flashing at the time the vibration/misfires occurring? If it was something mechanically whacked with the clutch, it's unlikely that it would suddenly be OK on restart. Get the engine ECU scanned for fault codes, I predict there is a misfire DTC for one of the cylinders. If a failed coil pack is confirmed by a stored misfire/cylinder# DTC, replace that cylinder's coil pack and clear the fault codes.
