i went back a few pages and didnt find anything on this.

are there any GOOD over the counter scratch removers? the scratches in my car are the stupid small, barely in the clear, cant feel with a finger nail at all, but i've even used Scratch X and they wont go away, lighten, anything.

and damn they stick out liek a sore thumb on black.

also if i used any type of touch up paint for a few of my 'deeper' scratches.. what should i use to get close to brilliant black and what steps should i take to blend it?

    Re: deaded scratches

If you have a carquest around, they carry 3M professional products. I bought a swirl remover from there that works excellent. Most otc stuff in pepboys, autozone, etc are more glazes than polishes.

    Re: deaded scratches

^^ This is true about OTC waxes/polishes. The best one in my opinion to hide/cover up mild scratches...is Meguiars Tech Wax 2.0. Good stuff, I recommend it to all of my clients to keep their car looking great without spending a fortune on other products.

Black is the toughest car to keep scratch free, which everyone knows by now...the only real way is to have it professionally detailed...have the sratches removed properly with a PC or Rotary...then maintain it!

For touch up paint, go to the dealer...they will mix you up some. If you have never done a scratch repair, its not very easy at at. Properly, it takes a couple days, then you have to color sand the area, then polish it out...burn-thru is very likely for a beginner!
Research it before you try it...or try it on a test panel before you do your own car!
