Then I'd start with suspension/wheels/body mods.. work your way up!

Well considering the FT isn't badged as such, I don't see what that would accomplish. Unless you are assuming that people seeing it will all of the badges, and no Quattro badges know for a fact that it's FT. Though honestly I don't see the big deal. There is nothing wrong with Front Trac. I get better gas mileage then all of you Quattro yuppies.............

Ok, so about mods in general. I have found a car that has ALOT of what I want. It is Yoogene83's car, from this thread.

From here, I have decided that I want these rims:
ADR 19x8.5" M-Classics

I like the way that ^^^^^ lowering looks too.

Now to the front bumper, I'm at a crossroads.
I love the way the Caractere front looks:


but, I also like the USP front:


Can a splitter be put on the USP front? Are splitters even worth it?

Now, to the back bumper. I wasn't really planning on getting one, because I'm going to paint all the lowers anyway. Is there much of a difference?

you can get your exterior all dress'ed up in about $1,500 if you shop nicely, this meant you are going to get the Caractere Front. USP front DIY is cheaper.

iirc there was a Caractere front FS in the classifieds, check on that.

Sounds like your focus is mostly in exterior mods, so in that case I would start with wheels(which you have figured out) and springs or coils depending on how much you car. I would go with coils since you're not on the sport suspension. Whatever exterior mods you go with, definitely throw in a chip and you'll love the car even more. Also clears corners can be done yourself in a few hours unless you plan on getting ecodes soon. But definitely rims/suspension before body mods. I saw a black B6 on the freeway the other day with some ebay tails and a Caractere front on the stock sport rims and no drops and it looked lame

I think I once saw a diffuser on a USP front. Agreed it'll be cheaper and it isn't as hard as it seems to do the conversion. You could also buy the whole thing online if you have the money for it.

Ecodes are never cheap, same goes with the OEM trunk lip, and mesh wheels are (apparently) starting to get played out.

If I had the money, I'd buy some Maya STMs though.. they're sooo nice.

Oh and x100 on the whole unnecessary quattro in cali! I didn't even take notice at first

My car has enough stuff on it to be considered a money pit, i mean it's got the side skirts the wheels, the USP front, the de-badge stuff, the clear corners, the blackout grilles, the exhausts, the LED tails, the tint, the drop, the painted lowers, all that good stuff, and trust me 95% of the people see it as bone stock except for the sound! The enthusiasts here in Cali, are not real they think wheels make themselves look kool, and if u have nice tint, wow ur a ruler! Only in other states where fixed up cars are more scarce is work truely appreciated!

instead of getting the car you have right now, you should of shot out an offer to yoogene83. seems like you want a car just like his.

Lower it, then rims, then a 1+ chip is probably smartest to start off and get off that stock hp(sooooo slowwww lol), and in between you can do the Clear Corner DIY for FREE ! That'll be enough to get you started.

Its confusing to ask what to do first since there really is so much, but it'll be important to plan what you want for looks, then you get started with the main biggies, like I mentioned above, then after those are done, all the other mods are not as expensive (body kit excluded, depending if you want one, or just paint the lowers for a fraction of the price, and theres even a DIY paint the lowers for silver B6's because plasti-dip has a perfect matching color. Look in the DIY section. What costs us $400 or more could cost you $60-80)

It also depends on how much money you have to spend and how quickly you can get more, that'll affect your progress.
