hey guys...new AZer w/ some b5 s4 questions

Ok, hey im new to AZ and got some questions.

1. I'm thinking of getting a B5 s4, do they tend to have a lot of mechanical problems or are they generally fine, I realize that it depends how the previous owner drove the car, but in general do they?
2. What is the price range I should look to buy an 00'-02' S4.
3. Realistically, what kind of gas mileage will I get?

Maintenance is expensive and pretty often.

I average above 22mpg on about 50/50 driving.

Maintenance like schless said often and expensive even if you DIY

i get about 20mpg idk exact thats just rough numbers with mixed driving

price range greatly depends on mileage, i see them from 8,xxx to 20,xxx very often

A) maintenance is a bitch.

2) i get 18mpg with CA crappy gas and my driving habit.

D) i paid 9k for a 2000 with 90k miles.

1) Maintance is fine, if you have at least 7-10g's in the back at all times. But really, they can require alot of time and money.

2) Over a year and a half ago, I paid 16K for a 01 with sport. I got taken, but I really wanted the color.

3) I get 25mpg with 80% highway and 20% city. But it really depends on how you drive it.

4) Searching is your best friend.

like said above. you better have money, time, and a space to put it when its down. if you got that, youll have a nice car
