Roof Boxes - Avants - Roof rails

I am looking to see what people have used or bought for holiday/vacation trips to expand their vehicle carrying ability.

I think one of these aerodynamic boxes (Thule or Yamika) would work well to move items from the back seat to the top of the car.

If you have used one of these please let me know - also where can I get the OEM bars that connect to the side rails at a cheaper price? (dealer wants $240). My car is a 2004 Avant.

I have Yakima cross bars and the old Yakima SpaceCase 20cuFt cargo box. I use it year 'round. It hardly ever comes off the Avant. It even fits a full 29inch mountain bike wheel sideways and a shit-ton of snowboards in the winter.

This winter I'll be spending most of my time at Burke, Jay Peak, Stowe and the like (Northern Vermont). That is, when I'm not flying out to Colorado to ride.
