Hello,

I've started to look at new Intercoolers for my S4. So I ran across these and is wondering if any of you know anything about these?

They also sell FMIC wich seam to be working very well performance wise, but not fit well behind the bumper.

Any comments please...

Exactly!! Dirt cheap side mount intercoolers, looks good but how do they perform and how do they fit?

I seem to remember someone on here who has them. IIRC, he wouldn't have done them again if given the chance. Something about poor quality, leaks, and what not. I guess they did moderately better than RS4's or something like that...

It may take extra work to get them on but you're getting better performance than RS4 ICs for half the price. Of course ERs and AWEs are better performers, but still not perfect fit (read: "direct bolt-on") and still cost 3 times as much.

i remember hearing the castings was terrible, and since you are already buying cxracing why not get the front mount? tons more performance, but obviously it is not everyones favorite look so thats where these came into play.

That is my conclusion to..

Do you guys really think they are better than RS-4 intercoolers? APR uses the the rs4 IC up to 447hp in their stage 3, so then these should be fine if one don't intend to go higher than that in performance!? Correct?

Is there any numbers/experience supporting this?

What CXmotorsports needs to do is jack their prices to about $50 above say the RS4 units and add some fancy stickers , then everybody would think they were great . If it costs more it must be better !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1) does it do what it claims? From the threads it seems it does.
2)Casting/welds a little rough but don't leak .Well their mounted in the fenders so who cares, if it really gets your nickers in a knot a side grinder with a polishing disc will fix it!
3)It takes a little more work to mount.From the threads it seems you have to take the stock brackets off and mount them on the CX's and some minor adjusting.Well whoop-de-do.
4)Take the money you save and put it towards a BBK.
