Who runs AWE Exhaust

Who's running AWE exhaust, how is the sound in the car when you are cruising and on the pedal? With or without downpipe?

If you have downpipe and TIP/ what brand are you runing?

Im looking to pick one up this week and I'my concern is that it will sound like my old Honda civic (which was way loud on/off the pedal). And i put my kids in the car.

Do you hear a big difference between stock and AWE

I won't be running a downpipe yet, just the exhaust for now.

I am running with the full catback AWE, and love it. It isn't obnoxious.. when you are on and off the gas you get a good note but not super loud, just right in my opinion and certainly nothing like a fart canned honda.. quality tone.. barely noticable at highway speeds. Passengers did say that there is a little added vibration in the rear seat though. The clip on AWE sounds a little raspy.. it isn't at all.

^ thanks, I hear it won't sound like a Fart can, different car and turbo engine, I just don't want kill the kids ears or sound sound like a rice can driving down the road. I'm hoping for a deeper grawl sound.

It definatly has a deeper growl with out being excessive while driving around town.. with the windows up your kids should be fine.. it'll probabbly be a little quiter too w/o the DP..

i have one, it sounds nothing like a rice can. not even remotely. i just got back from a road trip from arizona to cali and my 6 yr old nephew fell a sleep almost the whole way. and he's used to being driven in a hybrid civic.

if your putting in a test pipe, expect it to be loud and drone

I have one with a test pipe and its loud, but i've gotten used to it.

I have the Thermal R&D Race exhaust which i hear is the same exhaust. this is what is sounds like with a GTRS, highflow cat, and 2.5" downpipe, so figure putting it on a stock engine with nothing else it won't be quite as loud but close.

There were a few AWE exhaust clips on youtube also if i remember correctly.

Now even though they are sposta be the same according to a few people (they looks EXACTLY the same if you put them side by side) i can only comment on the Thermal R&D. Not to loud, love the way it sounds, i find myself taking the long way just to listen to my car for a few extra minutes :)

Not gonna lie...it is a but loud and has a drone at times, but I love love it and am used to it now!!!!

I love mine, however I talked a friend into getting one and in his wagon (I have a sean) the drone was noticeably louder. In my sedan other than highway coasting in 3rd gear there is no drone and when you hit it the sound is like music ! Deep and decieving, most wont think its a 4 banger with the tone it produces, sounds very V6'ish.

i have a catless AWE and I love it. Especially when you start it cold. Sounds nasty idling before the warmup is done.

That's who I'm getting it from. Just haven't had a chance to hear it. and now it's off the car.
