    hey guys i have my 03 3.0 with 47,000 miles on her, around what mileage does the serpentine belt need to be changed?

    MKIV Golf TDI- SOLD MPG were amazing but other than that...

    65,000 according to the dealer. mine broke before that due to my a/c compressor seizing up

    ok thanks!! so i may be about due... i had a post a few days ago about a squeel i hear when i start up, well today i put a dab of pb laster luricant on the belt and it didnt squeel... so im thinking i need a new serpentine belt... which one do you reccommend? and one more small question, we have a timing belt a serpentine belt and an accessory belt? or are the serp. belt and the acc. belt the same thing?

    serpentine belt and acc belt are the same thing. the timing belt is different. that you want to replace around 75,000 miles. you said you just got the car, do you have a warranty? if the belt begins to squeak again, you can have it repaired under warranty.

    ive had the car since october, and no i dont have a warranty... the belt isnt too expensive and doesnt seem to be that hard to replace?? but there is always more to it than what meets the eye loli found a few yesterday, one was like 100 dollars and the other one was only like 26? idk

    Hey man, Goodyear makes a serpentine belt thats awesome for our cars, its called the "Gatorbelt" or something like that, check it out, I believe it ran me $25 or so...

    Anyway, you can change it rather easily with a 13mm wrench
