Can we see a closeup of where the badge(s) on the door(s) should be or is there absolutely no trace of the badge or any bodywork it took to fill in the recessed area of where it once was? Did they just use a non-S-line molding?

I've been told that there is no recessed spot on the molding and that the s-line badges are just stuck on. Is this not correct?!?! Because a close-up will just reveal a smooth surface on my car. I actually am having my dealer send me the badges...

Now I am worried....

Did you debadged the rear or did it come like that? If it came like that, I'm sure someone did remove the S-Line badge as well.

Yes, I debadged it myself. I am still concerned that the s-line badge is recessed into the panel, getting conflicting reports....

Yeah, I know. But since the car is white, to me, it just needs a spot of color there. Then a tint, then chip, then ...

A tint will tie the whole thing together. I'm envious of your interior. Wow. Love it.

Leave it as is with NO TINT, and slam it on some coils!!!

gotta tint it. that thing would look sick with the blacked out door surround. nice choice. I would def put the door badges on, the badges look awesome and let everyone know this isnt your run of the mill a4.

my sline badges sit in a resecced area on the door panel rub strips. If yours doen't have that indent maybe they don't come with your car. But in the end who really cares about the badges, you have a sweet ride!

Yeah, from what i remember, mine are recessed as well (though i'm not 100% and cant check right now).

I think I'd have a problem with this too only because the dealer wasn't completely honest with me. Sure, you're getting all the S-line stuff (minus the badges) and its really not that big a deal, I think I'd still be a little bothered that my "brand new" car got body work without my knowledge.

I'm not into the look of a lowered Avant. This car for me is more about utility. It will make its way to Colorado, Mammoth, etc... Mtn. Biking, Skiing, all that jazz. And I get a little bit of performance to go along with it.

Hmmm. I am hearing both recessed, and just stuck on top. MAybe the sedans have recessed and the avants are just stuck on top?

Anyone else want to weigh in on this, or send a pix or either recessed version or stuck on top version?

Dude its definetley a full sline which means that if your car came without the sline badges from the dealer than there was definetley some body/paintwork done to your car. The dealer doesnt have to mention the cars damages if it was under $500, and can sell the car as new. I would let your dealer know that you know watsup and you want some compensation. Not that big of a deal, but id look into some compensation, like free service or a specific part or something. If your dealer isnt a dishonest prick he should be able to accomodate. Nice car btw

I called him on it the other day and he told me that the car ABSOLUTELY did not have any work done and that it was sold in perfect condition. The more I analyze the paint, etc... the more I believe him.

The question on hand is... are the s-line badges on the side door molding recessed or just stuck on top? I have heard both ways, so am confused there.

Yes RS4 in the door panel is indented. S line is not.

That's correct. I double check my Sline badge and it's stuck on with no recess on the door molding.

I'm very curious to see pics here as I have a NON sline and purchased it that way but it had an sline badge on the 2 rear door panels. I asked the dealer why they were there and he said it came that way when they bought it or found it for me as I wanted the nav and some other options.... but I was going to take them off and called and was told they were in the trim and would have to get new trim.... so they are still on... nothing on the front or back says sline but the sides have it... I left it on because of what I was told.....
