No verdict yet, got a phone call suggesting it COULD be contaminated fuel. I fueled up at the huge Pilot gas station off of the ft pierce FL turnpike exit friday night, 92 octane (weird, 92, no 91 or 93...). I'll keep you posted. I hope it's fuel, not coils.

Don't you/your insurance have to pay to get the car fixed if it's because of bad fuel? Anyways, I have no idea what coils do in the car but keep us update!

Yeah a dealer wont pay for fixing a bad fuel problem, usually just some octane booster or stabilizer will ease the symptoms until you can fill up again.

I never fill up on anything other than name brand premium gas. Just a precaution because I've had bad fuel before... especially in our boat when filling up on the lake. That is an iffy venture 50% of the time!

Re: A5 - At the dealer

I had no idea how moody these things could be, or worst yet, how a flag-ship gas station on a heavily trafficked intersection could have bad fuel. I've had 3 trucks (2 gas, 1 diesel) and those things would run on pinesol. I apologized to my car and took her out for a Shell V martini. So far, so good, haven't gotten on it though. At higher throttle is when it became noticeable before, I'm going to wait until more of this good fuel is run through before I get on it....
