    Boost Gauge Reading Question

Finally got my VMR boost gauge installed. The gauge looks great and seems to be functioning. Only issue is that I am not sure what it should be reading.

My engine is completely stock. The gauge seems to peak consistently at 10lbs and a spike to 12. Is this normal? I haven't found a solid answer searching the threads.

Just want to make sure that I know when something isn't functioning correctly.

    Re: Boost Gauge Reading Question

What would a chipped car boost at? I've been meaning to jump on one of the Podi Gauges and was curious about the readings i'd see.

I just installed my Podi with an AutoMeter mechanical gauge. (Pics soon...)

In stock mode I peak at 12psi, hold pretty solid at 10psi.

    APR 93 Stage 1 - Peak at 17psi, hold at 15psi.

    Re: Boost Gauge Reading Question

    That sounds right for stock.

APR93 stage 2, spike around 20psi then hold at 18-19psi. If I'm in a longer gear it usually holds less boost and it varies a little here and there
    Ignorance is bliss.
