Oh NO!!!!!!!! check engine on

don't know what happen, my 06 A4 check engine light is on. have to bring back to dealer. My car only have 29K miles on it. Do I need to tow to dealer or ok to drive it to there. If I tow, can I call Audi to tow it because it is still under warranty. Please guide me, I feel upset.

What CEL is showing? Is it red or yellow? Usually yellow lights are warnings and should be checked so driving to dealer should be okay... I'd be more careful if the light were red.

yea if its red don't move it, yellow you are fine to drive it to the dealer

Had a CEL pop on the other day on my '06 (and subsequently pop off the next day) and the service tech told me that if it was solid yellow if was okay to drive, but if it was flashing yellow I needed to stop driving it immediately.

you get free roadside assistance under warranty which means you get free towing to your dealership... might as well use it...

FYI... don't forget... if it's Quattro... request a flatbed.

It is quattro. Already call dealer and will drive in on Wed. As what they said, it is safe to drive.

check and make sure your dipstick is on properly. I had a check engine light both times I got my oil changed by the stealership and both times, it was because they didnt screw the cap all the way in

goto autozone and get it scanned for free if u dont have a vagcom on hand. let us know what code its throwing or look it up. no need to tow it yet. put it in stock mode if its chipped. good luck.

car still under warranty. will drive to dealer to check. it has some oil mark in engine bay. ask them to check it too. hope everything is fine.

car is in dealer now. the oil is at around transmission to axle. I believe is transmission oil leak a little bit. let see. They gave me a rental car not loaner car. Not like BMW if the car still under warranty, they will give you BMW loaner car. miss my 2.0 turbo engine this morning.

get back my car yesterday, they said the air flow control electrical malfunction. They replace intake flap motor. Everything is fine. Anyone know what is the function of this motor. Is it control the air flow in to engine?
