Louder Exhaust!

hey guys so i got my exhaust on my car about 3 4 months ago and i love it, but the more and more i hear it the more and more i want it to be louder. I was thinking of hollowing out my catalytic converter...any ideas on that? and also is there anyone who doesnt want their catalytic converter for an 08 a4 2.0t quattro, i would really appreciate the help.

Since I think others are reluctant to post in your threads but I'll try to help you out, why not get a testpipe? Basically you are getting the same effect as a hollowed out catalytic converter without having to ruin that stock part. Then if you need to pass inspection you can bolt the CC back on. Also, you might want to change the title of that thread so people actually know what is referring to: i.e. exhaust sound, want exhaust louder, etc.

I think what I said is pretty much the only option, you could get bigger pipes made or a new exhaust but thats about it

but i already have a full cat back exhaust system with downpipes/testpipes w.e they were again, how much would it be to just get a cat hollow it out and thats it

Like nsmith12 said just get a testpipe. It will prolly be cheaper then a stock cat and you can put the cat back on when you sell the car. And what catback do you have?

Getting a TP is going to be the way to go. It's foolish to permantely ruin a perfectly fine piece of equipment on your car. Also, as others have said, in the event you sell the car or if/when you need to go pass emissions again you just need to bolt the CC back on instead of compeletly replacing it.

If I recall correctly and depending on what car the CC is for they can run as high as $1,300. However, from I what I would be led to believe by your other posts is that money isn't an issue...but no need to be wasteful.

Get a test pipe (removes the catalytic converters) the only downside is pollution and you wont be able to pass emissions and you might lose a bit of torque down low

anyways, just cut random holes on the piping from the downpipe / cat / muffler... will be loud .. very loud... almost like a truck loud

I think your best bet is probably the test pipe, if you have resonators, get rid of them and you should have yourself a louder exhaust.

i would ask you guys cause you guys are more knowlegable with audi's and they are more into the old school muscle cars. and yeah thats my graduation present it just needs a couple more things, ill keep u guys posted on them
