Anyone know where I can find a stock Y-Pipe in good condition?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I already searched through the classifieds without any luck and also tried shokan & ebay with no success. (there are 2 on ebay but one looks damaged and the other seller didn't respond to my e-mails)

I'm looking for a stock Y-Pipe that must be in good condition with no cracks/leaks etc. I broke the end of the fitting coming off the right side of the pipe and need a replacement.

    Thanks

Deb38 just sold his powdercoated one to someone, they are probably going to have a stock one...

FYI, there are two different y-pipes depending on your model year. The '00 and '01 S4s had one with the PCV connector at an angle while the '01.5 and '02 S4s had the PCV connectors straight (and a different spider hose assembly to accommodate that).

Make sure the one you get is correct for your car.

I have a spare '00-01 y-pipe. Its a bit scratched up but otherwise fine.

Thanks for the info, I didn't realize there were 2 different y-pipe styles. Although my car is a 08/00 build date with old style emblems it appears it has all the 01.5 upgraded parts such as the intake manifold, y-pipe etc. Here is a photo of my current y-pipe.

Anyone have a newer style y-pipe kickin' around?

I think the rs4 pipe is overkill for me since I'm not stage 3. But if you want to sell it to me for like $80 I'm in

Is the RS4 y a little bigger or something? Does it really make that big of a difference?

I think it gets rid of the TBB, not 100% though.

The RS4 Y-Pipe is a little larger but I don't think it's going to make a dramatic difference as the turbo inlet pipes are still the same size.

Re: Anyone know where I can find a stock Y-Pipe in good condition?

you guys realize the tbb and the y-pipe don't even connect. the tbb connects to the throttle body, hence the name of the boot. the y-pipe connects to the upper intake hoses/turbo inlet piping.

the rs4 y-pipe is slightly larger and fairly useless for the $800 price tag.

he meant the y-pipe as in the Bi-pipe. RS4 one has a metal TBB and is often called/named y-pipe, when it should be bi-pipe or OEM RS4 TBB.

Ahh, I guess i was mistaken as i was thinking it was the pipes on top of the engine that eliminated the TBB if you went RS4.
