A while back i got the passat dynoed

Well Yesterday I met up with some guys from FLORIDA German and had a small dyno day.

I have an 01 Passat 1.8t AUG 5speed no big mods done yet just the suspension, Airbox Mod, 93 Octane APR, Forge 007 DV, TEST PIPE and 2.5" Custom Exhaust


According to what I have seen on the motor code and Horspepower the AUG had 150/hp

Out Of three runs my best run was the second run with 173.7 HP and 202.2 FT LBS of torque

So 173.7 on a 93 octance program, 007dv, and full exhaust ... well truly it was kinda week.

Well on thursday night I noticed that the car was spitting real bad so i then went to autozone and bought some NGK BKR7E's gapped at .028"

well take alook at the plugs i took out of the car






And here is what i replaced them with

173hp at the wheels is very respectable! Plugs look pretty old though.

true... but the gaps are huge compared to the .028"

thats what I noticed, not in horrible shape, but the gap is rediculous, I'm surprised the spark was strong enough to ignite
