Ok.
Quick update from the dealership.
It's gonna cost me $631.95 all in to repair and refinish the rear bumper, i have parktronic if that makes a difference. I told them to go for it, and paint the bumper as well, since that repair is covered by a third party.
It's gonna cost me $700 to strip and repaint/refinish the trunk lid, I have the gps button on the trunk and they're gonna fix a little dent in the trunk that's been bugging me. Not that noticeable, but of course I can see it and that's what matters. lol...i told them to go for it on this, since the bumper repair is free to me, I'm looking at $700 to fix both bumper and trunk lid...not a bad deal considering.
The evap purg valve regulator is gonna cost me $263 plus tax to replace. Anybody know what this really costs to fix?
They said the cat doesn't need to be replaced just yet unless I have to run an emissions test...the fault code is just an efficiency issue, not a clogging or no airflow issue. Thank goodness for that. So, the dealership isn't out to take all my money, just yet.
Suspension-wise, they said the right front upper control arm needs replacement, they want $340 for it, I said no thanks. I'll bring it to an indy suspension shop and have them look at it.
If the front suspension needs replacing, then I'll buy the parts from performance-cafe or whatever and have the indy shop replace it.
Just wondering, how often do the control arms and tie rods need to be replaced? I just had it done in october 2006, and got roughly 30k out of it. Any thoughts?
