Rear ended. Need paint work advice.

My silver 2004 S4 (20k miles) was lightly rear ended yesterday and I was left with a license plate/screw imprint on my bumper cover/diffuser.

Is the dealership going to offer the best paint work around? My local dealer (Ira, MA) has a body shop on site.

There are some good private shops around as well.

Any advice on getting the best possible work done is appreciated. Naturally cost is not a factor since the other driver's insurance is paying.

The only thing I would suggest is using a shop that uses "Spies Hecker" paint.

If dont a lot of paint work in my time and by far this is the best paint and will match the best to any car.

Thanks. I just want the best possible paint work done especially since my car is so close to new. I appreciate the advice.

You may want to post up in the "Northeast" forum about this one. You can get feedback from people in the area in which you live, and they probably have a ton of experience with local body shops.

Can't help you too much on where to go, but I so feel your pain... this exact thing happened to me this morning. Two nice screw indentions in the cover. The shop I am dealing with is very good, will remove the cover for all work etc so no overspray possibility. Just bums me out that it happened.

    Good luck with yours!
