DV went bad this morning..long drive this weekend

Car is throwing a cell, boost is down from 18psi to 14psi, and some oil droplets around the filler cap.

I might not have time to fix it before this weekend but i am headed from DC to the poconos in PA, prob about a 200 miles each way.

Should i be concerned about driving that much with the DV broken?
Should i put it back into stock mode? (Im running apr 93 now)

guess i dont know for sure, just seemed to have the same symptoms as a bad dv as i have read before. so if it is the pcv, should i be concerned about the drive?

I had the same problem. CEL. I would clear it but CEL again once boost went past a certain point.

I did drive more than a week with bad DV though w/o issues but bad pickup. Finally I just upgraded to the Forge DV for the 2.0T. Night and day. You could go with the new version of the OEM DV too.

I would switch back to stock until you replace it.

oil around the filler cap is a symptom of PCV... get your facts straight.
